The Beauty of Being a Nerdfighter

So  I may have mentioned this previously, but I am a die-hard Nerdfighter. I know not many of us out there know what Nerdfighters are, so I'll try to explain to the best of my ability.

Nerdfighters are, essentially, fans of John and Hank Green (YouTube channel name: vlogbrothers). These two guys are AWESOME. John's a writer; he's been awarded at least one Printz Award, too! His most recent - and in my opinion, best - book is titled The Fault in Our Stars, affectionately referred to by all of Nerdfighteria (the invisible but very real nation of Nerdfighters everywhere) as TFIOS. Hank, on the other hand, is a super-freaking-genius when it comes to science. Hank also sings and writes his own songs; my favorite songs are "A Song About an Anglerfish" and "This Isn't Hogwarts." He and John now have two different channels that they both frequently upload videos to: John does a history series called Crash Course (channel name, appropriately, crashcourse), and Hank is making one about science called Sci Show (aptly named scishow). Their video blogs (or vlogs) were the brainchild of the Green brothers as a way to communicate with each other without using text messages for an entire year. They're hilarious guys, worth checking out. And if you like what you see, you too can become a Nerdfighter easily and painlessly! Nerdfighteria is a wonderful place to live, and you don't even have to move to get there.

Warning: a lot of what I will say now is going to be pretty confusing if you're not a Nerdfighter and/or haven't watched most of their videos. Watch out for Giant Squids of Anger, my friends! And Decepticons.

DFTBA!
Love from your faithful blogger, Nerdfighter, and (David's girl)friend,
Meridith
