Hey y'all. Here I am in English, very bored since we have a substitute today and I finished all the classwork assigned for today before lunch. So, I decided to post, also because I'm trying to start posting more often like I used to, though maybe not every single day. I don't know.
I fell asleep in Theology yesterday, mainly because I was very tired due to lack of sleep. I took my medicine that controls my dizziness from vestibular neuritis (inflammation of the nerves connecting the inner ear to the brain) the previous day, and it makes me very drowsy and I sleep longer than usual because of it. I had to stay up late, though, because I had a lot of homework. Then I had to wake up at 5 yesterday morning because of orchestra rehearsal prior to school, except my body really did NOT want to wake up. I slept in the car on the way to rehearsal, but that really didn't do much. So, in my first class (which was Theology) I found myself fighting to stay awake, but the sub's (the same sub we have today in English, coincidentally) voice was so monotonous, and I was so sleepy........I woke with a start to my friend Rebecca gently shaking my shoulder. Mr. K's previously boring lecture about parables suddenly took a turn for the more embarrassing side of things when he gave an example: "Your neighbor falls asleep in class and misses important information about the test, but you stay alert and get an idea for the extra-credit opportunity." We all knew who he was talking about. My face flushed tomato red. Luckily, I managed to stay awake the rest of class and throughout the day.
Well, anyway, I'm glad it's Friday. Tomorrow I finally get to have a birthday celebration (I'm much too old for "parties," as the younger ones call them) with my un-biological sisters Catherine and Hannah as well as David. I can't wait!
Love from your faithful blogger and (David's girl)friend,
Meridith
